What counts as a weathering
Anything that breaks the continuous surface of a roof — a soil pipe, a rooflight upstand, a change in roof pitch — needs lead weathering detail to stay watertight around that penetration.
Why these details matter
A roof is only as watertight as its weakest junction, and penetrations through the main roof covering are consistently among the most common places we trace leaks back to.
Getting bespoke detailing right
Every penetration is slightly different in size and angle, so weatherings are usually hand-dressed on site rather than fitted from an off-the-shelf part, to get a genuinely tight seal.
